Pam Gabso: January 8 – March 5, 2017
My love for wildlife started at a very early age. I would sit and watch my backyard birds for hours. Then twenty years ago I moved to Hilton Head Island and discovered herons, egrets, shore birds and much more. I bought a little point and shoot camera and well, started pointing and shooting. Then I fell in love with a bird lover as well and we started shooting together. Next thing you know we invested in great cameras and great lenses and began to learn about real photography. We are still learning as it is an ongoing and fascinating journey.
I am also the owner of Studio B Marketplace where my work and the work of many other artists is on display.

LouAnne Barrett: January 3, 2017 – March 7, 2017
LouAnne Young-Barrett has enjoyed working as an artist, designer, and teacher for many years. Completing her BFA at Ohio University, she began her career teaching art near Cleveland, Ohio. A later move to California inspired her to return to school for a degree in Interior Design. She became a professional member of the International Society of Interior Designers and owned and operated Interior Domain for 17 years.
Barrett’s work has been published in several prominent magazines on the West coast. Many of her clients requested custom mural paintings for their design projects allowing her to experience the joy of painting while running a busy design firm. During that time, she continued to teach as an adjunct professor of Interior Design at Mesa College in San Diego.
Selling her business and moving to Hilton Head in 2002, allowed Barrett to spend more time with her son as she returned to teaching art and completing her Masters in Integrated Arts. She has been teaching art at Hilton Head Christian Academy for 12 years.
The Hilton Head Senior Center is located at 70 Shelter Cove Lane and is open Monday – Friday from 8:30am until 4 pm, visitors are welcome.
