ARTIST BIO:

Marianne Stillwagon is originally from South River, New Jersey and has a B.S. in design. She and her husband have lived in New Jersey, Illinois and California before settling down in New Hampshire in 1976 where they raised their two sons. Marianne and her husband are now enjoying the life of snowbirds, so she currently has a studio in both Hillsborough Center, New Hampshire and in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

The picturesque villages and ever-changing seasons of New England have been the inspiration for her “Contenporary Primitive Americana” paintings while living in New Hampshire. Since coming to the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Marianne has been inspired to paint the beautiful marshlands, coast, birds and wildlife of the South.

Marianne’s artwork has been exhibited and sold in select galleries and shops throughout the United States and abroad. She is an exhibiting member of the New Hampshire Arts Association, the Society of Bluffton Artists, the National Association of Women Artists, Art League of Hilton Head and Monadnock Area Art Association.
