Artist Statement
“I have always loved beautiful scenery. Years of travel covering thousands of miles in our motorhomes deepened my appreciation. Landscape painting has become my vehicle for sharing the view and the feeling of being there.
My artistic journey does not include formal education but has been enhanced by the talented teachers at Art League of Hilton Head. I started working in acrylics almost 20 years ago. I switched to color pencil when we were full time in the motorhome. A tabletop easel fit on the dashboard and pencils fit in a little 8x10 case. I added in some watercolor and acrylic under-painting along the way. Since becoming more settled I have continued to experiment with media but maintained my limited palette.”

Artist Statement
The current instructor exhibition at Art League Academy Gallery represents the styles and media taught by Art League Academy’s full time faculty.
The exhibit features exquisite works from over 15 faulty members. The artwork does a great job at showing potential students the styles they could be learning in the different classes and workshops offered all year around at Art League Academy.
