James Lewis
JAMES LEWIS has years of experience as a professional artist, illustrator and teacher. Beginning on staff as an artist for a major greeting card company, he has now become a successful painter in the fine arts. He has won awards for both his watercolor and oil paintings. He has taught watercolor painting for ten years as a university adjunct instructor. His approach to oil painting is Influenced by his experience as a designer and illustrator, and from years of painting and instructing watercolor. The result is a sense of harmony and order, balanced by spontaneity and energetic palette knife and brush work, direct and intuitive.
James has a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design, and has studied under several successful contemporary painters in both watercolor and oil painting.
