MEG KACZYK began her creative career as an illustrator and designer in the Midwest, graduating from Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids and working in print and publication in Detroit. Seeking arts community, in the ‘80s Meg moved west to Portland, Oregon and then to Port Townsend in 2016. Her painting life played counterpoint to her corporate creative career, emboldening the loose and fluid style of her work today.

Meg’s paintings carry the legacy of abstract expressionism forward — informed by the natural world, contemporary poetry, Buddhist practice and life’s transitions — consciously uncovering personal yet universal themes of joy, grief, gratitude and presence.
